5 Tutorials to Help You Get Reacquainted With the Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palettes
July 18, 2022
When I was in middle school, one of the most coveted makeup items a person could have was an Urban Decay Naked Palette. The mix of richly pigmented nudes in both matte and shimmer shades were all over my Instagram explore page, and every beauty influencer I subscribed to on YouTube had a detailed tutorial using the palettes. While the OG may have been discontinued, the Naked Palette lives on in new, more colorful iterations. We rounded up six of our favorite makeup tutorials that will make you fall in love with the Naked Palettes all over again — or encourage you to give them a shot if you haven’t already.

Urban Decay recently launched a series of mini palettes inspired by shades in the original Naked Palettes, including Foxy, a matte buttercream color that could be found in the second Naked Palette. The Foxy Palette is a mix of olive-toned neutrals that can easily switch from super subtle to smoky and dramatic. We love the way Jennifer Chang used hers to create a bold graphic eye look. The last original Naked Palette standing, the Naked3 is a collection of cool-toned, pinky neutrals that can be smoked out or kept barely there and minimal. YouTuber AllThatFresh kept her look pared down and neutral with plenty of shimmer on her lids. And, you guessed it, there’s also a mini version of the Naked3.
