This Holographic Makeup Tutorial Will Transform You Into a Pretty Space Baby
We get it. Holographic highlighter, lippies and shadows have been around almost as long as millennial pink era. And while the “fairidescent” shades definitely make an appearance on our cheekbones or at the center of our lips pretty often, we sometimes have occasions where we feel as if holo should dominate our entire makeup look (um, festival season anyone?). So we decided to take holo to the next level with a full face tutorial that will have you feelin’ like a space baby in no time. Here’s how to get the look.
Step 1: Start by applying the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation. This will serve as a nice matte base for your holo shine.
Step 2: Next, define and fill in your brows with the L’Oréal Brow Stylist Definer Mechanical Pencil.
Step 3: Set your brows with the L’Oréal Paris Boost & Set Brow Mascara to keep them in place.
Step 4: With the NYX Professional Makeup Love You So Mochi Eyeshadow Palette in Electric Pastels, pack on the silver shadow onto the center of your lids. Next, tap the light blue shadow on top, and add coral to your inner lids. Finally, smoke out your outer V with the hot pink.
Step 5: Grab the Urban Decay Heavy Metal Liner in Distortion and line the top and bottom lash line, and tap it onto the center of your lid for some extra glitter pop.
Step 6: With the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion, line your upper lash line and slightly wing it out.
Step 7: Coat your lashes with the Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara — and now it’s time for the face!
Step 8: For bronzer, swipe on a complimentary shade with the Maybelline Facestudio Master Bronze Kit. For highlight, use the Urban Decay Disco Queen Holographic Highlight Powder to add some purple sparkle.
Step 9: To really make your face pop, place a shade from the Maybelline Facestudio Master Blush Color Kit onto the apples of your cheeks, and finish off your cheekbones with the L’Oréal Paris Galaxy Lumiere Holographic Highlighter Stick in Astro Pink.
Step 10: To complete the holo look, swipe on the L’Oréal Paris Galaxy Lumiere Holographic Lip Gloss in Polaris Pink, and you’re good to go on your space baby way.
