As someone with wavy hair and limited hairstyling abilities (I’ve only just come to terms with the fact that I’ll probably never be able to do a French braid), I’m always looking for cute, easy hairstyles to switch up my daily look. Too many of the tutorials I watch require too much time, too steady a hand or too many hot tools to bother with for my everyday routine — even if the end result is envy-worthy. If you’re in the same boat, don’t worry — below, you can find some of the quickest, easiest tutorials from wavy hair influencers on Instagram. Whether your waves are short, thick, fine or prone to frizz, you’re bound to find a style that inspires you.

Mini Braids

A half-up, half-down style is an easy way to refresh second- or third-day hair and requires very little time to recreate. Here, @maybeitswavybaby makes her look stand out with face-framing baby braids and a ’90s-inspired zigzag part.

Cute and Claw-Clipped

This sweet style is equally cute on barrel curls and natural waves. Simply twist up the top half of your hair and pin it in place with a decorative clip — here, @amberrosepeakehair uses the Matilda Jaw Clip from Jennifer Behr.

Voluminous Ponytail

Add more volume and interest to your basic ponytail with this TikTok-viral hack. All you need is a claw clip to instantly add extra fullness.

Baby French Braids

If, unlike me, you have managed to master the art of the French braid, this is a relatively simple and very cute way of keeping your hair up and out of your face. Simply braid back your face-framing pieces and secure them with mini elastics — the Kitsch Clear No-Snag Elastics are ideal for minimizing tangles and damage.

Mini Messy Bun

This dual-bun style is perfect for creating volume on short or fine, wavy hair. The Matrix Fixer Hairspray will enhance your hair’s volume even more and keep the style in place all day.

Elegant Updo

This updo may look like one that would take hours to replicate, but it’s surprisingly simple — two looped buns and strands of hair concealing the elastics give it a chic, elevated effect.

Sleek Slick-Back

A half-slick back style will help fight frizz and stand up to humidity all day. To keep your hairline looking extra glossy and sleek, be sure to coat any flyaways with a hair mascara or a dab of gel on a spoolie brush — we love the Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Gel.

Short and Sweet

If you’re growing out a pixie cut like @alissa.iris or have short waves, you’ll love this quick and easy braided style. She amplifies her hair’s shine using the Rizos Curls Nourish Oil for Hair, Scalp & Body
