Influencer Cara Santana Shares Her Favorite Fall Trends and Best Instagram Tips

You’ve probably come across Cara Santana in one way or another – whether you’ve seen her in Santa Clara Diet on Netflix, have tried out The Glam App  (Santana’s app that literally delivers beauty experts to your front door) or if you’re one of her 813k followers on Instagram. The actress and influencer even has her own blog called Cara Disclothed, which combines her love for fashion, beauty and style – which you’ve probably gotten a taste of on her ‘gram.

We had a chance to speak with Santana about everything from her daily makeup and skincare routines to her favorite fashion week manicure and best Instagram tips. Here’s what she had to say.

Can you tell us about your daily makeup routine? Skincare?

For me less is always more. If I don't have to wear makeup – I won't. My daily routine consists of a good brow gel and some lip salve. Aside from that, there's no everyday must have.

Skincare is so important to me. I have a whole routine, complete with cleansers, oils, eye care, etc. And I NEVER sleep with my makeup on. Ever.

What fall trends are you most excited for?

Colored eyes! I'm loving all the bright, bold colors!

Your Insta is fire. Do you have any posing tips or advice for capturing the perfect 'gram?

Hire a professional photographer and editor! Hahahahaha. Always shoot with the sun in front of you, not behind you.

What is your best beauty tip that you'd like to share with readers?

Water and sleep are the best accessories for the skin, which is the best palette for a good face of makeup!

What are some of your must-have Fashion Week essentials?

Chanel lip salve, Jason Wu x Caudalie misting spray, cuticle oil and Neutrogena face wipes!

Tell us about your favorite nail art from the new essie 2017 fall collection!

I love the Essie cat eye nail art as seen on the Rebecca Minkoff runway! I actually wore that look to the show. I'm so obsessed with their fall colors. It's a little bit rock n' roll, yet demure.

How To Get the Rebecca Minkoff Cat Eye Nail:

Products Used:Essie First Base Base Coat, Dressed To The Nineties, Girly Grunge, and Speed.Setter Top Coat.

Get the Look:

1. Apply First Base Base Coat to dry, clean nails.

2. Apply one coat of Dressed To The Nineties down the middle of the nail from cuticle to tip.

3. To create two curved lines, apply the metallic Girly Grungeto each side of the nail, angling in slightly toward the middle at the tip. This reveals a “pupil” of the dressed to the nineties layer below.

4. Finish the look in less than 60 seconds with Speed.Setter Top Coat.
