White eyeliner is every beauty guru’s secret weapon — thanks to it’s amazing ability to make us look more awake and it's cool, graphic effect. But wearing white eyeliner over a bold eyeshadow is a trend we’re forecasting to see everywhere this fall, so we tapped NYC-based makeup artist Anne Kohlhagen for her take on the look. Ahead, find a step-by-step guide on how to get it done right. STEP 1: Apply Your EyeshadowStart with the NYX Professional Makeup Ultimate Shadow Palette and apply the color of your choosing all over the lid. “Create a soft eye shape with the shadow on both lids, hitting the crease and winging it out,” says Kohlhagen. Here, she uses a soft pink-red shade and also softly sweeps it on the lower lash line. STEP 2: Draw Your Liner Next, Kohlhagen says to apply your first white liner swoop. “Softly draw on a curved white line on the crease with a kohl pencil to perfect the shape,” she says. This will serve as an outline to your actual white eyeliner look. STEP 3: Set Your LinerOnce your first outline is complete, “go over the soft white line with an opaque white liquid eyeliner, like the NYX Professional Makeup White Liquid Liner,” she says. After that, clean up the edges of the line with a cotton swab to ensure that the shadow does not overlap with your graphic white line. And there you have it — a cool-girl eye look that you’ll be obsessed with all fall.  Read More:Best Matte Lipsticks to Try ASAP7 Foundations With SPFBest Hairstyles for the Beach
