How to Create a Glitter Eye and Glitter Lip Makeup Look In Just 4 Steps
November 12, 2018Putting together two different beauty trends can be a total makeup miss — that is, unless you find balance between the eye and the lip. And this couldn’t be more true than when a glitter eye and glitter lip is involved. In order to get the look right, we turned to NYC based makeup artist Justine Sweetman to create a harmonious look, which she says is all based on keeping everything else simple to achieve “just little touches of glitter on the face.”
Ahead, find out how you can master the glitter eye and lip combo, too.
You’ll Need
L’Oréal Paris Infallible Crushed Foil Metallic Eyeshadow in Gilded Gold
NYX Professional Makeup Metallic Glitter in Lumi-Lite
Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner
L’Oréal Paris Infallible Crushed Foils Metallic Lip Gloss in Mirrored
NYX Professional Makeup Lip Lingerie Glitter Gloss in Clear
STEP 1: Start by applying the L’Oréal Paris Crushed Foil Metallic Shadow in Gilded Gold from your lid to your upper crease.
STEP 2: “Next, add a little bit of a clear gloss on top,” says Sweetman, “ and pat on the glitter with a semi-fluffy brush.” Sweetman notes to put a tissue under the rest of your eye while doing this, so you can avoid fallout.
STEP 3: Line the upper lash line with a skinny liner — here, Sweetman used the Maybelline Master Precise.
STEP 4: To glitter up your lips, it’s best to mix both glosses. “I started with a coat of the L’Oréal Paris Crushed Foils Metallic Lip Gloss in Mirrored and then added the NYX Lip Lingerie Glitter Gloss in Clear overtop,” says Sweetman. The duo creates a high definition shine, with both gold and iridescent flecks to elevate the look and leave everyone enamored.
