We’re Obsessed With This Colorful, Vacation-Ready Eyeshadow Look for Summer

There are certain makeup looks that scream summer — especially colorful eyeshadow. Vivid, tropical paradise-inspired shadows look at home whether you’re vacationing at an equally exotic locale (jealous!) or hitting a summer party. For the perfect vibrant look for whatever you have on the calendar this season, look no further than this one created by makeup artist Jonet Williamson. Here, she walks us through exactly how to copy it.

STEP 1:

Williamson prepped her lid for colorful eyeshadow with a white eyeshadow base.
STEP 2:

She packed a pale blue shadow from the NYX Professional Makeup Brights Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette on the center of the lid using a firm, flat brush.

STEP 3:

To amp up the drama, Williamson blended a fiery red-orange eyeshadow in the outer corner, extending the color into a winged shape.
STEP 4:

Williamson highlighted the inner corner with a neon green eyeshadow.

STEP 5:

To blend the colors together, Williamson used a smaller, more defined brush to apply a lighter orange shadow in the crease.
STEP 6:

For an extra pop, she added a shimmering gold to the tear duct.

STEP 7:

She deepened the waterline with a smoky purple eyeliner. The Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in Rockstar is the perfect plummy hue for this look.
STEP 8:

To complete the look, Williamson coated her lashes with mascara and added false eyelashes on top. We recommend the L'Oréal Paris Air Volume Mega Mascara for full, voluminous lashes.
