Love French Pastries and Makeup? You Need this Entire Collection
February 14, 2018Two things that will never fail to make us happy are new, buzzy makeup products and pastries — preferably multicolored macarons that are (almost) too pretty to eat. With spring right around the corner, beauty lovers like us are getting ready to embrace color again, whether it’s a minimalist swipe of colored eyeliner across your lid, a full-on, bright shadow or multicolored mochi pastries. To celebrate the upcoming season and our undying love for the world’s finest pastries, Lancôme just unveiled the brand’s new spring collection, which is aptly named French Temptation. Reason being: The collection contains macaron-shaped products that look identical to the real treat.
The brand’s new, must-have macaron-inspired offerings consist of two different blush and blender duo options for $40 and a blush and blender quartet for $75. They come in what looks like a real-life pastry box which may or may not make you crave the actual thing more than ever before. To pair with your blush, another spring makeup staple to get your hands on (and probably use sparingly to avoid destruction) is the Instagrammable, geometric patterned Les Toppings Eyeshadow Palette full of 10 highly pigmented, bright shadows like a shimmery emerald green, baby blue and a bold yellow. The palette includes three matte colors, two sparkly colors, five iridescent powdery shades and a colorful dual-ended brush.
To complete your new spring makeup collection, you should also keep an eye out for the Jelly Flower Lip Tint, ($33) which contains real flowers and gives you a subtle, glossy tint and Ombre Hypnose Mini Chubby Sticks ($19 each) in four pastel shades that double as eyeshadow and eyeliner. Complete your pastel makeup look with one (or more!) of the brand’s four new nail polishes. We don’t blame you if you find these new spring makeup products too pretty to use — like a pastry that’s too pretty to eat. Almost.
