Editors Share the One Beauty Tool They Can’t Live Without
January 22, 2019Clarisonic Mia Smart, $199
If you want your skin to be really, truly clean, there’s nothing better than a Clarisonic. It gently removes makeup and dirt without stripping or irritating the skin. And now that it’s “smart,” you can use an app on your phone to program different skin care routines. I used to say using my Clarisonic was like going to the gym (I was really good about it for a few months, and then I’d fall off the wagon), but now that the app tracks my usage, I’m much more dedicated — and my skin looks better for it.
Flawless By Finishing Touch, $19.99
It takes a lot to convince me to try a new beauty tool. The same was the case for Flawless by Finishing Touch, a facial hair removing tool that I 100% have come across on TV and my local drugstore back home in Rhode Island. Nevertheless, I heard from other beauty editors that the product is really, truly Worth The Hype, so in the name of beauty, I gave it a shot. And now it’s my favorite beauty tool. It removes all of the hair on my upper lip in seconds — quick, easy and painlessly. I recommend this to everyone because it’s saved me from tweezing, waxing and lasering. I can’t live without it.
Tweezerman Slant Tweezers, $23.00
Tweezers are my saving grace, and these slanted babies are my absolute favorite because they have so many uses beyond just plucking my brows. I love to use these when I apply individual falsies — they grip onto the small lashes impeccably and pick up teeny tiny amounts of glue just the same. Plus, they add a super chic touch to any beauty vanity and complement any beauty ‘gram like a dream. What’s not to like?
Who knew a colored egg would change beauty routines everywhere — mine included? Ever since I invested in a beauty blender, my concealer looks airbrushed and my skin looks, well, like skin. It’s made me more confident in my face products and now I can’t go anywhere without one (or two). I like to wet mine completely before squeezing out the moisture and use the “bouncing” technique to press the product into my skin. It eliminates the possibility of streaks and helps me get that “I-woke-up-like-this” look. Can you tell I’m obsessed?
