Shade: I am Powerful

Warm eyeshadow tones pop off of my olive skin, which is why I was super drawn to I am Powerful. It’s a stunning red-orange hue that’s easily buildable, whether you prefer a subtle wash of color or pigment that packs a little punch. You can easily wear this by itself or paired under another eyeshadow depending on the look you’re going for. I love pairing this with a dramatic wing and lots of mascara — it’s definitely going to become a staple eyeshadow for me as we move into the holiday season.

Shade: I am Shining

I love a shadow stick for creating quick, easy one-and-done looks. I’ve been reaching for I Am Shining, a pale, shimmery champagne shade, almost every day to highlight my inner corners. The formula is high-shine and reflective without being glittery, and the color goes with everything, from dark smoky eyes to neutral and natural eye looks. It has great lasting power, too — despite how teary my eyes tend to get in the colder weather, my inner corners still retain their shine by the end of the work day.

Shade: I am Courageous 

Compared to some of my fellow editors, I’m pretty new to the beauty world and thus, I’ve had a bit of a learning curve when it comes to more complex products and makeup application methods. So, I’ve really grown to love an eyeshadow stick as a foolproof way to create eye makeup looks that would otherwise be beyond my skill level with a makeup brush. This shadow stick from Maybelline New York officially has a permanent spot in my makeup arsenal, thanks to the creamy blendable formula and pointed, precise tip that makes application easier than ever. The shade I am Courageous is a cool bronze with a subtle shimmer and I love that it’s neutral enough to wear every day.

Shade: I am Inspired

I’m such a huge fan of eye sticks because they make my get ready routine flow so much quicker! I’ve been reaching for the  Maybelline New York Color Tattoo Eye Stix in I am Inspired recently because it’s the perfect champagne shade to highlight my eyes. I highlight the center of my lids, inner corners and right on my brow bone to give me a more wide awake look. It’s really the perfect product for your every day routine!

Shade: I am Unique

Eyeshadow sticks have become one of my favorite ways to apply my eye makeup recently. Not just for added color on my lids, but also as a makeshift eyeliner when I’m creating a monochromatic look. Any time a brand comes out with this type of product I’m quick to try, and was not disappointed with these Tattoo Eye Stixs from Maybelline. They’re like a larger version of the Maybelline New York Tattoo Studio Sharpenable Gel Pencil, with a creamier consistency that allows for quick blending before it dries matte (or shimmery depending on the shade). I Am Unique, a deep pink hue,  has become a favorite of mine for a bold eye makeup look in just a few swipes. Tip: If you have oily eyelids like I do, allow the eyeshadow to set on your eyes for a few seconds before blinking to avoid creasing.

Shade: I am Fierce

This eyeshadow stick is a major hit for my oily eyelids, and that’s coming from someone who blinks off their eyeshadow within an hour of applying it. I wasn’t expecting the texture of the eyeshadow to be dry, but I think that really aids in the budge-proof properties of this formula, and the way the product settles on the lids — once you apply it, the eyeshadow does not move around. I Am Fierce is a gold shade with hints of olive green; while I feel like my brown eyes are typically unexciting with most eyeshadow, this shade makes them pop!
