It’s no secret that IT Cosmetics does complexion products well — hello, best-selling IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream With SPF 50+. Like most beauty editors and makeup devotees, it’s one of my favorite complexion products. No matter how many other foundations and CC creams I try, it’s the one I always fall back on. So, as a diehard IT Cosmetics CC cream stan, I couldn’t wait to put their latest base innovation to the test, the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation Oil-Free Matte Full Coverage Moisturizer With SPF 50+. What the New IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation Oil-Free Matte Full Coverage Moisturizer With SPF 50+ Is: Unlike a majority of other IT Cosmetics other complexion options (read: CC creams), the newest launch is a full-coverage foundation-moisturizer hybrid. Its goal is to make you say “bye-bye” to your traditional foundation and reach for this creamy formula instead. Its finish is a hydrating matte that’s suitable for all skin types, but it’s especially great for those with oily skin. It gets the dual-properties from hyaluronic acid (for hydration) and a Moroccan Iava and Canadian colloidal clays ( for mattifying). My Review of the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation Oil-Free Matte Full Coverage Moisturizer With SPF 50+Full disclosure before we drive right in: I’m not usually a matte makeup fan; I much prefer dewy, glowing skin. But that only speaks to the formulation of the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation Oil-Free Matte Full Coverage Moisturizer With SPF 50+ more. I liked the product, a lot. My beef with matte makeup is that it usually feels dry and uncomfortable on my normal-to-dry skin type — but this foundation didn’t. After prepping my skin with my normal routine (moisturizer, SPF, primer), I applied the shade Light Medium using my fingers (my preferred method for a true second-skin look). To buff out any streaks and really smooth the product onto my skin, I went back in with a dense foundation brush. The texture was lighter than I had expected and blended easily. The instant results were very similar to that of the CC+ creams, and my complexion looked more even and smooth, with any discoloration I had around my jaw and chin becoming blurred. The finish is a true matte, but much to my pleasant surprise, it felt really good on my skin, unlike most mattes. It looked like healthy, shine-free skin, rather than parched or cakey. There were a few areas on my face where I get particularly dry (around my nose and on my chin) that needed a little touching up, but overall the result was a smooth natural-looking complexion. By its formulation, the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation Oil-Free Matte Full Coverage Moisturizer With SPF 50+ would definitely suit those with oily or combination skin types best but it’s also worth a try for any matte makeup lover.Read More:8 Creamy Complexion Products From Ulta That Will Amp Up Your GlowWhat’s the Difference Between Makeup Mattifiers and Primers? The Secret to Rosy Skin Is in Your Mom’s Beauty Stash — We Swear!
