Shade: Talk the Talk

I typically prefer a crayon lipstick because IMO it makes it a heck of a lot easier to stay in the lines than a liquid formula. I’ve been a huge fan of the Maybelline Ink Crayon formula since it came out, but this new shade upped the ante on my obsession. It’s a nude pink with warm undertones that flatters my pale complexion and works with just about any shade of eye makeup, bronzer or blush. Plus, it stays on for eight hours and doesn’t dry out my lips — a key criteria of a winter lipstick.

Shade: Know No Limits

I am one of those people who owns at least five versions of the same lipstick color and swears they’re all very different. But you have to believe me when I say that this shade really, truly is different than anything in my extensive lipstick collection (perks of the job!). The color is like a mix of red, orange and brown tones — the shade reminds me of chili powder. I like that it’s striking without being too bold or bright and that I can wear one coat for a tint or a few coats for a more done-up look. Plus, the crayon applicator makes it easy to achieve a precise finish without a lip liner.

Shade: On The Grind

I am a total believer in the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipsticks, but this was the first time I got to test out the Superstay Crayon Line. I chose the shade On the Grind because it is a nice mauvey-brown that pairs well with my complexion and makeup style. I’m even more so impressed by the formula, which essentially wears just as well as its liquid lipstick counterpart. It’s definitely easier to apply in crayon form, and feels a lot more comfortable on the lips, too. The lipstick didn’t budge an inch while I wore a  face mask for a couple of errands. All in all, it’s become my new go-to lip color for winter.

Shade: Reach High

As someone who thrives when wearing neutral makeup, I feel like the Maybelline New York Spiced Collection was made just for me. I’ve always been a fan of the Superstay Ink Crayon for its long-lasting formula that doesn’t budge and the easy, precise application. I chose the shade Reach High, which is a cozy nude brown with pink undertones. It’s perfect for everyday wear and the best part is, it doesn’t transfer onto my mask.

Shade: Rise To The Top

When the weather starts cooling down, I love to add a little spice to some of my favorite things: tea, apple cider and now my lipstick. I tried the Maybelline New York Superstay Ink Crayon in Rise To the Top, which is a beautiful matte reddish-orange color. Application is so effortless — the crayon-like tip allowed me to line and fill in my lips flawlessly. But my favorite thing about this lippie is the eight-hour wear. This lip color stayed vibrant from the time I applied it in the AM until my Zoom happy hour with my girls in the evening. If you’re looking for a lip product to spice up your fall and winter makeup routines, make sure to add a few Maybelline New York Spiced Collection lippies to your makeup bag ASAP.
