I Retired My Go-To Mascara After Trying the New YSL Lash Clash — Yep, It’s That Good
February 01, 2022The formula, in tandem with the unique double-conical brush, latches onto and coats each individual lash in a rich, jet black color. One coat gives a beautiful fan effect, but I love that it’s buildable, so you can up the intensity with every following swipe without experiencing any clumps. It's one thing for a mascara to volumize (and let me tell you this one volumizes to the max) but I really appreciate that it conditions lashes, too, with nourishing iris extract.
My Experience Trying the YSL Beauty Lash Clash Mascara
The side-by-side with and without the mascara alone is striking (I mean, do you see that picture?!). But aside from the dramatic change, I love how the mascara makes my lashes feel. You’d think that an excessive amount of volume would equate to heavy lashes, but they feel completely weightless, even after hours of wear. The va-va-voom effect doesn’t fade either. The lift and volume can last for up to 24 hours without smudging, and while I can’t vouch for the full 24 hours, it did last the whole day for me without flaking.
I think the cherry on top was the compliments I received while wearing this mascara, though. The first night I wore it I had five (yes five!!) different people ask me if I got lash extensions. I have naturally long lashes, but hearing that was a serious ego-boost!
I never thought I would find a mascara that would make me retire my go-to, but I think the day has finally come. The YSL Lash Clash has officially become the king of all mascaras in my book — and it’s going to take some sorcery to dethrone it.
