This Gradient Squiggle Cut Crease Is the Right Amount of Extra
February 03, 2021If there are any two eye makeup trends from 2020 that we still can’t get enough of, it’s graphic, squiggly cut creases and colorful gradients. Between the rainbow palette and curvy lines, both looks just make us happy. For a fresh take, we decided to combine them into one striking look with the help of makeup artist and influencer Aniyah Smith. Ahead, she shares how to get the look in just four steps.
-
STEP 1:
Start With Eyeliner
To begin the look, use the NYX Professional Makeup Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cobalt to create a squiggle on your crease, extending from your inner lid to your outer crease. Next, use the NYX Professional Makeup Vivid Brights Liner in Sapphire to line your upper lash line, starting at the inner corner and dragging it across to wing it out.
-
STEP 2:
Apply Blue Shadows
Using the NYX Professional Makeup SFX Face and Body Paint Palette in Primary, mix the cobalt blue and white shades to create a lighter hue. With a flat brush, paint the color from the inner corner of your lid to about half way across, filling in all the space between the dark blue squiggle and winged liner. Next, use the dark blue color in the palette, unmixed, on the outer half of your lid.

STEP 3:
Add Dimension With White
Use the NYX Professional Makeup Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk and trace along your upper squiggle and below the blue liner you created to tie the colors together.
